There are some wonderful natural ways to cure depression. And one of the best ways to cure depression, whether natural or not, must be with homeopathy. Homeopathic treatment works by finding the cause of your depression and then effectively dealing with that. Anxiety depression is actually characterized by all sorts of irregularities and erratic behavior from the person who is suffering from it, this is usuallu due to certain stress triggers that may tend to easily cause a person undue jitters and stress. Also, a lot of people who tend to get easily nervous over stressful activities are actually prone to having anxiety depression, its just a matter of being strong-willed when it comes to facing difficult and stress-prone activities.

To be extra precise, the one cure for any health imbalance, strictly speaking, doesn’t come from the treatment, it comes from inside you. The remedy is simply the catalyst that allowed this to happen. The time period ‘melancholy’ is very broad, covering a multitude of feelings and even more causes. It is usually referred to when someone has an an incapacity to function normally. The feelings can be grief, nervousness, anger, fright, disgrace, guilt and many others.

This is likely to be the event which happened sometime prior to you first noticing that something was wrong, that had a profound effect on you. And you were unable to resolve this.Cyclothemia - characterized by a slight similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the individual suffering from this mental illness may occasionally suffer from severe changes in one’s moods.Seasonal Affective Disorder - characterized by falling in a rut only during specific seasons (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall) studies however, prove that more peopleactually fall in to a rut more during the Winter and Fall seasons and lastly, Mood swings, wherein a person’s mood may shift from happy to sad to angry in just a short time. But the type of depression that has actually been proven to be quite common among people is anxiety depression, which is actually characterized by the state of being overly anxious about things. Anxiety, a supposedly normal behavior that’ll actually help a person adjust more to a certain stressful activity like first date jitters or a grueling exam the following day. Anxiety actually helps you get psyched up towards facing certain “difficult situations”; anxiety therefore is actually a good thing.

They can even be anxious even when there’s no apparent reason that calls for them to behave in such a way. Reasons For Anxiety Attacks - What Causes An Anxiety Attack

February 10th, 2010

So, what are the reasons for anxiety attacks? Well, there isn’t any definite answer for everyone. The causes vary from person to person and it is dependent on the situation. So, what I am going to do is share with you the causes of attacks. That way, if you’ve got an attack, you will know precisely what to do.

The reasons behind anxiety attacks are :

1. Fears. An individual, if exposed to something that they are terrified of, will naturally have an anxiety attack. An example would be if you’re afraid of public talking.

2. Hyperventilation syndrome. This is another cause of anxiety. Hyperventilation syndrome is caused when you breath through your mouth. When you do this for a very long time, your heart rate increases, which triggers lightheadedness. And at last it will trigger an anxiety attack.

3. Medications. Using mood suppressants unduly, you could be causing an anxiety attack. Taking too many antidepressant tablets has side effects. And that side effect is an anxiety attack. Try not to take a lot of mood depressant drugs.

4. Heredity. If one of your relatives has a record of anxiety attacks or panic attacks, there’s a probability that you’ll have this disorder too.

5. Short term causes. When something dramatic happens in your life, such as someone close to you dying, it may trigger an anxiety attack. If you’re having emotional issues, make sure you don’t intake too much caffeine. It could make you have an anxiety attack.

6. Environment. Another cause of anxiety attacks is due to the environment. It may be from the damp or hot atmosphere. Or it could be from you being around too many folks. Some folk can’t deal with being around a lot of folk for long time period.

These are some causes of anxiety attacks. If you have these signs, you need to do something about it. Waiting to stop your anxiety attack might be fatal.

Fast Diet - 3 Foods That May Be Making You Fat

February 4th, 2010

In this article we will discuss a fast diet and 3 general foods that can make you fat. By cutting out the 3 foods below, you will not only lose weight quickly and easily, but you will feel better and your body will work better too.

1. Sugar: Sugar has become a staple in most people’s diets. But sugar will make you fat and even using no calorie sweeteners can trick your body into craving sweet things. Sugar is really bad for your body and the climb in its intake has been extremely detrimental to the human race. In the 1800’s humans only consumed 1 teaspoon of sugar per year, today the average is 50 teaspoons per day.

Our bodies aren’t used to this and cannot handle this amount. The result of all of this sugar consumption is an epidemic of obesity, diabetes, allergies and even cancer. Start decreasing your sugar intake, cut out soda and no calorie sweeteners, you will start to lose weight quickly.

2. Wheat: Wheat is a very common hidden food allergy, especially in America where it has been genetically modified. Because many people’s bodies don’t handle the modified wheat, allergies have become very common. And surprisingly, many people are completely unaware that they have a problem with wheat. Some symptoms that can present themselves if you have problem with wheat are depression, anxiety, anger or even hay fever.

Depression is a huge problem these days, yet instead of treating the cause, doctors treat the symptoms with dangerous often body damaging drugs. Wheat is the first ingredient in most processed foods, stop eating junk food and you will lose weight.

3. Dairy: Many people have hidden dairy allergies as well, and this can alter moods and cause low energy levels. The hormones that animals are injected with make their ways into our systems when we ingest cheese and milk products, the result is catastrophic to our bodies.

Symptoms can be extremely subtle, like tiredness or a headache, so people don’t address the issues going on in their bodies until it is too late. Cut out dairy from your diet, add soy products or even organic dairy and you will not only feel better, but your waist line will decrease too.

This article discussed a fast diet that includes eliminating 3 general foods that can make you fat. Sugar, wheat and dairy can contribute to weight gain and or the plateau some people hit when dieting. Finding alternatives to these foods might seem difficult at first, but there are so many wonderful foods that can be eaten instead, you’ll see in a few weeks that you don’t even miss them.

The Differences between Anxiety and Depression

October 18th, 2009

A person with anxiety doesnt necessarily have depression and a person who is depressed doesnt always experience anxiety. However, given the similarities in physiological states of those with anxiety and depression, and also given the similar types of environmental triggers, it is no surprise that a person with anxiety is often depressed as well.

Depression can be defined as harboring feelings of intense sadness as well as feeling hopeless, helpless, and worthless, for weeks or even months and years.

A person who is depressed often feels sad during most of the day, especially in the morning. A depressed person also has fatigue, feelings of guilt and worthlessness, and insomnia (or hypersomnia) almost daily. He or she may be impaired by indecisiveness and lack of concentration. He or she may also pull back from activities once found pleasurable and instead be plagued by restlessness, irritability, or even thoughts of death or suicide. Some depressed individuals also experience significant weight loss or weight gain over a short period of time.

Scientists believe that mood disorders are a result of a chemical imbalance in the brain. The brain contains neurotransmitters that secrete or receive chemicals such as dopamine and serotonin which regulate mood and emotions. Studies indicate that those with depression are lacking one or both of these chemicals or have a defective neurotransmitter. In either case, the fact still remains that there is a lack of something in the brain which then results in a mood disorder.

Depression can be triggered by many environmental factors such as stressful situations, drugs whether legal or illegal as well having a pessimistic personality.

Anxiety can also cause depression because a person with anxiety tends to be very pessimistic and worries about unrealistic scenarios that are overwhelmingly negative. Sometimes anxiety can make a person lonely or difficult to understand, which may aggravate depression. In addition, feelings of hopelessness about their situation can lead to depression. Being both depressed and anxious increases the likelihood that a person will have suicidal or violent thoughts.

It is good to know that treating one disorder generally treats the other as well. Methods of treatment include cognitive behavior therapy or psychotherapy in combination with prescription medications. These treatments allow the patient to both deal with the symptoms in a positive way as well as recognize them and find ways to prevent them.

If you believe you or someone you love is experiencing symptoms of either of these disorders, seek the assistance of your mental healthcare provider.
