10 Killer Weight Loss Tips

September 21st, 2009

1)You should first eat all the low calorie foods from your plate first and work your way up to the ones that contain lots of calories. That way when you get to the foods rich in calories you will eat far less of them because you are already full.

2)Always drink low fat milk, especially the one that contains just 1% fat. If you drink one glass of milk per day by making this switch you will be able to lose 5 pounds in 1 year.

3)Avoid overeating and you won’t get fatter. It doesn’t matter how much you like to food found on your plate you should never ever ask for a second serving. It will only make you fatter and more depressed later.

4)Always eat at home or take your homemade food with you wherever you go. It takes a while to get used to and some people might think that you are eccentric but you will lose a lot of weight this way and they will all be jealous of you later.

5)Get into the habit of keeping a food journal. Write down everything you eat during the day. That way you can look back and see exactly why you are not losing weight, getting fatter or in the happy cases losing weight.

6)Instead of drinking diet sodas try drinking vegetable juices and even fruit juices. A tomato juice can replace a diet Coke anytime of the day.

7)Use your imagination to make your vegetable meals more appetizing. For example you can add maple syrup on carrots and add nuts to your salads to give then an extra crunchy feel.

8)If you are trying to eat more vegetables daily you can try eating more vegetables soups. They too can be considered vegetables and they are super healthy.

9)Dinner plates are much more bigger than salad plates and make you eat more food. From now on you should eat all your meals form a salad plate.

10)You should eat more sweet potatoes instead of potatoes. They are much more good for your figure.

How to Get Taller The Natural Way

June 19th, 2009

Did you know that you can discover how to grow taller by making a few small changes in your diet? By learning to eat the right foods, you will not only get taller, but your bones will be stronger than ever.

What you eat plays a huge role in your attempt to get taller. You need to fuel your body with important nutrients such as calcium, calories, amino acids, and protein. Technically, taking these substances is not a way how to grow taller, but it prevents your growth being stunted from malnutrition.

Amino acids and proteins have a number of functions. Considered “the building blocks of life”, these nutrients enable your body’s bones, organs and muscles to grow. So it would make sense to eat foods high in protein to help increase height.

Another way how to become taller, is to get enough calcium in your diet. This essential mineral is responsible for helping your body replace old and sick cells with new ones, predominantly in your bones.

Typically found in dairy, meat and tofu, calcium aids your bones and muscles to grow and function properly. Any lack thereof, can lead to weaker bones that will break easily.

Don’t be fooled by those who say calories are somehow harmful. They are actually very beneficial for those who want to get taller naturally. Calories are important for replenishing energy and helping your body grow. When you have a steady intake of calories, this allows your body to function at 110% percent.

If you are past the age when you’re prone to growth spurts and bone development, don’t lose heart - these dieting tips apply to you just as much as they do to any healthy growing teenager. By getting enough proteins, amino acids, calcium, and calories, you are doing your part to prevent bone damaging diseases, such as osteoporosis.
