Buy Muira Puama Herb: Natural Ways To Feel Better

February 24th, 2010

By reading this entire article, you will learn the names of the two herbs that have been used most successfully in treating anxiety panic attacks, and you will learn about six others that have been used with success by some anxiety sufferers. Because of all this helpful information, you will want to read this article from this point to the end.

The minority who do find their lives blighted by these conditions can often be found to be suffering from one or all of the following: self harm and potentially suicidal thoughts, insomnia, lack of sex drive, inactivity and tiredness, and lack of concentration.

Certainly where someone is feeling so anxious or depressed that the medical profession would categorize them as clinically depressed or anxious immediate help should be sought from a professional. However where someone is suffering from a milder form of anxiety then there may be alternatives to the common anti-depressant drugs that often appear to make things worse for less serious cases.

St. John’s wort - In the world of herbs for depression St. John’s wort has garnered the most attention from researchers. Positive research results seem to support its effectiveness in treating mild depression. It is thought that this natural herb works by reducing the rate at which brain cells reabsorb the neurotransmitter (brain messenger) serotonin, low levels of which have been linked to depression.

Kava - Kava is member of the pepper family and is found in the South Pacific. It is popular in Europe, with four European countries approving Kava preparations for the treatment of depression. Kava seems to be most useful in cases of depression with severe anxiety. There are a few side effects linked to Kava and if you are considering this herb you should do some additional research.

Ginkgo biloba - You are probably surprised to find this supplement on my short list of potentially helpful natural herbs for depression. The simple reason is it may be helpful in helping our senior citizens maintain a healthy positive attitude and avoid depression. A research study concluded Ginkgo biloba was effective in increasing serotonin receptors in people age of 50 and older. This is important because as we age there is a reduction in the number of serotonin receptor sites on brain cells make elderly people more vulnerable to depression. The more serotonin receptors lost, the deeper and darker the depression; Ginkgo helped offset this problematic progression.

If you if your anxiety attacks are only mild to moderate, passionflower may help calm your nerves. Valerian has also been shown to reduce anxiety in a few studies. Other supplements that have been used with success by some anxiety sufferers include Tryptophan which is an amino acid, fish oils and GABA.

Fish oils have helped some people stabilize their moods but it does take several days of high doses to have an effect. The amino acid GABA is a neurotransmitter supplement that has helped some people although it has not been tested exhaustively. Can you imagine how much better your life would be and how much happier you would be if you could just stop those anxiety attacks forever? Reasons For Anxiety Attacks - What Causes An Anxiety Attack

February 10th, 2010

So, what are the reasons for anxiety attacks? Well, there isn’t any definite answer for everyone. The causes vary from person to person and it is dependent on the situation. So, what I am going to do is share with you the causes of attacks. That way, if you’ve got an attack, you will know precisely what to do.

The reasons behind anxiety attacks are :

1. Fears. An individual, if exposed to something that they are terrified of, will naturally have an anxiety attack. An example would be if you’re afraid of public talking.

2. Hyperventilation syndrome. This is another cause of anxiety. Hyperventilation syndrome is caused when you breath through your mouth. When you do this for a very long time, your heart rate increases, which triggers lightheadedness. And at last it will trigger an anxiety attack.

3. Medications. Using mood suppressants unduly, you could be causing an anxiety attack. Taking too many antidepressant tablets has side effects. And that side effect is an anxiety attack. Try not to take a lot of mood depressant drugs.

4. Heredity. If one of your relatives has a record of anxiety attacks or panic attacks, there’s a probability that you’ll have this disorder too.

5. Short term causes. When something dramatic happens in your life, such as someone close to you dying, it may trigger an anxiety attack. If you’re having emotional issues, make sure you don’t intake too much caffeine. It could make you have an anxiety attack.

6. Environment. Another cause of anxiety attacks is due to the environment. It may be from the damp or hot atmosphere. Or it could be from you being around too many folks. Some folk can’t deal with being around a lot of folk for long time period.

These are some causes of anxiety attacks. If you have these signs, you need to do something about it. Waiting to stop your anxiety attack might be fatal.

The BioMat - What is it?

November 24th, 2009

The Biomat is a natural health device which combines three healing modalities into one device. The Biomat is incredibly simple to use, meaning it can easily be utilized by any one who suffers from a health issue, no matter how serious the issue may be. It combines the power of far infrared energy, negative ions, and amethyst crystals. The Biomat has been approved for use by the FDA as a medical device.

The Biomat can be used for a multitude of health conditions, from minor issues to serious illnesses. It is able to do this because of the combined effects of the FIR, the negative ions, and the amplifying amethyst (which increases the power of the FIR). The most obvious effect of FIR is that it produces heat in the body, but while it is doing this it is actually healing at a cellular levels. Because of the amethyst crystals, the FIR are able to deeply penetrate the body by several inches, allowing very deep healing. Cancer cells have been shown to die at 107 degrees F, while other cells are able to function when heated to this level, which the FIR is able to do.

FIRs are able to relieve both pain and stress, which they accomplish by expanding the blood vessels, which assists in circulation. When there is better circulation, oxygen is better able to reach all parts of the body, including ones which have suffered an injury, thus helping to speed up the healing process. FIRs have also been shown to affect the body’s hormonal balance, improving levels of several important hormones including: melatonin, cortisone, prolactin, testosterone, and thyroid hormones. FIRs are also beneficial in decreasing inflammation and swelling in the body’s tissues.

Those who are unable to exercise due to illness or disability find the Biomat especially beneficial, as it enables them to participate in what amounts to a cardio workout that burns up to 600 calories in a half hour session, while they simply lie on it.

The body benefits from negative ions in many ways. When the body carries more positive ions than negative ones, the cell walls become less permeable, preventing elimination of waste and absorption of nutrients. On the other hand, when the body has more negative ions in the bloodstream, the cell walls become more permeable, assisting in elimination of waste and absorption of nutrients, also calcium and sodium levels increase which creates a more alkaline blood system. For a body to maintain its maximum health and functioning, an alkaline environment is essential, and alongside this, it’s been shown that cancer cells can’t survive in an alkaline environment.

Finally, the amethyst crystals in the Biomat help to amplify the FIRs, allowing them to penetrate more deeply into the body. Amethyst crystals are also known for their purifying and calming qualities.

Different applications of the Biomat call for different sizes. Fortunately, it is possible to buy Biomats to fit any sized bed, from single to king, and there are smaller Biomats designed for massage tables and similar, which are great for professionals who wish to utilize Biomats in their practices.

Cynthia Ryan loves to write about and talk about the Biomat to anyone who will listen! Once crippled by back pain, the Biomat gave Cynthia her life back, and she’s now able to do things she hadn’t done in over a decade.
